For Christmas I ordered a bag for my wife from Performance the price on sale for 49.95
I also ordered one for myself(better to give and receive)
I should mention that I am a performance club member and I received an email letting me know that orders placed by 3:00 pm that day (12/20) would be guaranteed for delivery by 12/22/2006.
I placed my order and received a confirmation of the Order being placed via email.
Well 12/22 came and went but I did not receive any bags.
I called customer service and spoke with Cindy.
I explained to her what happened and she informed me that sometimes this happens
(It seems that customer service must pull the orders off the web server and then re-key the orders into the performance backend system - Not really what I expected from a .com business)
and that I should rekey my order if I wanted it still.
Well if I did that the price would be different (more) for both the product and the shipping (Shipping was free on the order placed on the 20th)
So I did not want to do that.
I faxed my confirmation email to performance customer service and then followed up with a call back.
I got another customer service rep who verified that the fax was received.
I then asked her if she could enter the order while I was on the Phone since these were gifts and I wanted make sure they got out that day she did but then questioned the shipping price - when I explained that is was a promo discount she said she would allow it this time but in the future I would have to re-key the Order and pay shipping
(As if in some way it was my fault that they did not fulfill this order in time at the promotional price)
At the end of the call after she verified that the order was entered and would ship that day she explained to me that the Performance member card was for my personal use only and that I should not use it to buy gifts (Hmm. I paid for the Membership, I paid for the product, Maybe she was telling me that performance does not want my business) This order was for two bags one for me and one for my wife not 50 bags to be sold on ebay.
Next time I will think twice before I act on a Deal from Performance
As a side note I do not think I have ever received a product in 2 shipping days as part of my free upgrade as a performance member I know that some other club members have expressed the same issue. I did receive my bags today Dec 29, 2006 1:50 PM Delivered
